Now You See Me Now You Don't

Get ready to witness magic like never before! “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” (or commonly referred to as “Now You See Me 3”) brings back the impossible illusions and heart-pounding heists that made the franchise a global phenomenon. Blurring the lines between entertainers, heroes, and thieves, the original Four Horsemen are back with a new set of young magicians, all determined to take down the criminal ringleader and sparkling socialite Veronika Vanderberg and topple her entire empire with her.

While shades of gray and sleight of hand may be the Horsemen’s bread and butter, we at StreamSafely make it our mission to shield viewers from the tricks and deceptions of known piracy platforms. Global franchises like Now You See Me are the perfect opportunity for predatory websites to take advantage of fans who get caught up in the excitement. Protect yourself and your data by learning how to recognize illegal streaming platforms and trusting StreamSafely to deliver comprehensive, secure streaming options every time.

Everything You Should Know Before Seeing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t

The Now You See Me franchise was conceived by screenwriters Ed Solomon, Boaz Yakin, and Edward Ricourt and blends the artistic mystery of stage magic with the thrill of high-stakes criminal heists. The original film “Now You See Me” (2013) was directed by Louis Leterrier and introduced audiences to the Four Horsemen — a group of street magicians and illusionists recruited by a mysterious benefactor to perform elaborate heists disguised as magic shows. The film was a surprise hit and struck gold at the global box office, earning over $351 million worldwide.

The success of the first film led to “Now You See Me 2” in 2016, directed by Jon M. Chu, known now for his directorial role in “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018) and “Wicked” (2024). The new film brought back the original lead cast, minus Isla Fisher, who was pregnant at the time. While the sequel performed respectably with $334 million globally, the Internet expressed collective disappointment that the film wasn’t titled “Now You Don’t,” as articulated in countless memes, blogs, and posts — a decision which Chu ultimately had to explain.

Fortunately, the filmmakers have seemed to recognize the fans’ frustration, and now the third installment has arrived to make amends. Officially titled “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t,” the new film sets up the Four Horsemen and their three new protégées against a criminal organization funded by one of high society’s most illustrious and untouchable families.

Taking up the mantle from Jon M. Chu, who was originally reported to direct, Ruben Fleischer was brought on to direct in September 2022. Now in 2025, the new film is finally about to arrive!

The Prequels

While each story serves a standalone heist, our StreamSafely movie buffs recommend seeing the other two Now You See Me movies to catch every trick you can:

Now You See Me (2013): Four magicians take center stage for an impossible heist: Stealing millions and redistributing while performing on stage. Hounded by the FBI and Interpol, the so-called Four Horsemen must evade capture as they continue to turn the world’s most secure banks into their private playground.

Now You See Me 2 (2016): When the Four Horsemen resurface, they are forced into a dangerous heist by an ambitious tech magnate. Desperate to get out of the tech magnate’s web and clear their names, the four magicians must design their most impressive stunt yet.
